The Central Valley California Women for Agriculture (CVCWA) is pleased to announce the call for 2026-27 scholarship applications! Enclosed is a CVCWA application packet of information. The number of scholarships awarded may vary, depending on CVCWA annual resources and applicant pool. 

ELIGIBILITY* 

  • Applicants must be an undergraduate of at least sophomore-level or graduate (Master) standing pursuing a degree/career in agriculture and be enrolled as a full-time student for the 2026-27 academic year at a community college or college in Fresno or Madera counties. 

  

  • Past CVCWA College Scholarship recipients are not eligible. Students who received a high school senior scholarship are eligible to reapply for the college one. Students outside of these two counties should contact their CWA regional chapter for scholarship opportunities. 

  

  • Applicants should also demonstrate financial need, scholastic ability, leadership experience, community service, and other accomplishments, preferably in agriculture-related activities. 
  • The students selected to receive our scholarship will be notified in May. Proof of enrollment and verification of units for the Fall 2026 semester will be necessary prior to receiving the award. All recipients will be required to submit a headshot photo and short bio no more than 10 lines and sign a photo release for the CVCWA website. 

CRITERIA 

To receive full consideration, your complete package must include: 

  1. Completed scholarship application (pages 2-5), 
  2. Copy of college transcript(s); and 
  3. Two (2) recent letters of recommendation, one (1) must be from a recent college/university faculty member. 

Your application, a copy of your transcript(s), and two (2) recent letters of recommendation must be included together and emailed as one PDF document directly to CVCWA Scholarship Committee Chair, Jane Bedrosian at janebedrosian@gmail.com no later than 11:59 pm on April 17, 2026. Please note your name on the subject line, i.e. John Doe, CVCWA College Scholarship Application. No hand deliveries or late email applications will be accepted. 

AMOUNT 

Award amount will be determined by the quantity and quality of the applicant pool. This form should also be available on our website under the scholarship tab at: http://www.centralvalleycwa.org in February.
